Fikr Ventures at LEAP 2026 in Riyadh

Fikr Ventures is at LEAP 2026 in Riyadh this week, running from 31 August to 3 September at RECC Malham.

Four of the team are there: Mohammad Khawaja, Founding Partner; Ahmad S Abdo, VP Partnerships; Amer Nasereddin, VP Investor Relations; and Abed Al-Hameed, Due Diligence Technical Lead.

LEAP brings much of the region's technology sector into one venue for four days, and a large share of the education and workforce technology being built across MENA ends up represented there. For a fund backing seed-stage EdTech founders, that concentration is the reason to attend: four days of conversations with people building in the sector is worth more than the same four days spent anywhere else on the calendar.

The team is interested in meeting founders working on Arabic-first learning products designed for this region's curricula and examinations rather than translated into them, on workforce and reskilling platforms with a credible answer to distribution, and on anything in education carrying evidence of measured outcomes rather than a strong demo.

Fikr Ventures invests at seed and early stage across the Middle East and North Africa, and most recently participated in AILA's US$3 million Pre-Series A alongside Rua Growth Fund, Jo Academy, 500 Global and Bunat Ventures.
